Bhimgad Wildlife Sanctuary
Bhimgad Wildlife Sanctuary is located in Khanapur Taluq of Belagavi district in Karnataka State and forms the northernmost protected area of entire western ghats corridor of the state.This covers an area of 19042.58 Ha comprising of semi evergreen and evergreen dense forests with beautiful mosaic of woodlands and grass lands are the habitat for variety of mammals,birds and reptiles.
Prime Intention of the Blog
Belagavi district which has got some of the best forest areas of the Western Ghats Corridor has finally got the significance of Wildlife Sanctuary Tag and I really feel very proud to say that I am from Belagavi district and always I had in my mind that I should contribute something to these magnificent forests which inspired me a lot to fall in love with the Conservation.So it is just an attempt from my side to create awareness to save these magnificent animals and landscapes they exist in.If this blog contributes in a small way to achieve this goal I will be the most happiest person in this world.
